Program Compliance & Oversight Monitors (PCOM)
PCOM Training
The Rural Transit Assistance Center (RTAC) and the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) will host a required training for Program Compliance & Oversight Monitors (PCOM). The training will consist of an introductory afternoon half-day “PCOM 101” training August 12, 2026 and a full-day “PCOM Nuts & Bolts training 8 August 13, 2026.
To clarify, these trainings are for PCOMs and persons associated with grantees, not contracted operators.
The PCOM 101 training is intended to orient newer PCOMs, and grantee Board members to the PCOM role. All PCOMs who have NOT previously attended a PCOM training are required to attend PCOM 101, but it is open and recommended for all PCOMs. In other words, if a PCOM has previously attended a PCOM training, that PCOM is not required to attend PCOM 101 – but we’d still love to see you. Refreshments and snacks will be provided.
The PCOM Nuts & Bolts training is required for all PCOMs. Again, all PCOMs need to attend the PCOM Nuts & Bolts training. Grantee board members and grantee staff are more than welcome to attend this training as well. A light lunch, refreshments, and snacks will be provided.
Lack of attendance will have an impact on future grantee competitive applications.
Both trainings will be held in the auditorium of IDOT Headquarters:
The Hanley Building
2300 S. Dirksen Parkway
Springfield, IL 62764
Registration is free and required – it helps us plan the logistics of the event.
The Parking & Traffic Map is here. All attendees are allowed to ONLY park in the GREEN AREAS on the map unless they have designated handicapped signs for the blue areas. All other areas are off limits to parking. Attendees are sharing the parking space with Central Office staff. Carpooling is encouraged.
