Briefly Describe the Purpose of the Program
The Rural Energy Savings Program (RESP) provides loans to rural utilities and other companies who provide energy efficiency loans to qualified consumers to implement durable cost-effective energy efficiency measures.

Open to: Entities that provide retail electric service to rural areas, current and former USDA Rural Development Rural Utilities Service Electric Service program borrowers or their subsidiaries

Terms and Conditions: 20 years at 0 percent interest, and up to 5 percent interest for re-lending to qualified consumers for up to 10 years
