Transforming Ideas into Action

Once a community has completed the MAPPING the Future of Your Community program, the hard work of implementation begins. Mapping Action Teams across the state are working to bring the ideas they developed in the visioning and planning sessions to reality. In the fall of 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, the MAPPING program began offering webinars exclusively for MAPPING communities featuring community leaders who had successfully completed a project in their community, allowing them to share their knowledge. In addition, the MAPPING program began offering webinars about the services of agencies and organizations, as well as resources to assist communities or address specific topics of interest to rural Illinois communities. These webinars were recorded and are available here for communities that have completed the MAPPING program. When applicable, links to additional resources are also included.
