RB6_3   This paper explores the extent to which Illinoisans engage in physical activity during their free time. Free time is operationally defined as sum of time spent on activities other than paid work, for example, socializing, relaxing, and leisure. Microdata from the American Time Use Survey, 2022, were used to calibrate statistical models to analyze free time and physical activity time. Results of data analysis reveal that Illinoisans value physical activity less than other free time activities such as watching television and listening to the radio.
