Briefly Describe the Purpose of the Program | |
Loans to lenders who then re-lend to applicants to fund essential community facilities in high- or persistent-poverty rural areas. Funds can be used to buy, build, or improve facilities such as hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, town halls, courthouses, child care centers, fire departments, museums, and libraries. |

Open to: Government organizations, community-based nonprofits, and federally recognized Tribes. Lenders can be located anywhere in the U.S. Community facility must be in a rural area with a population of 20,000 or fewer. Terms and Conditions: Fixed interest rates and terms up to 40 years. Terms of the loan from the re-lender to the applicant are negotiated between those parties |
