Application Guidelines:
Homeowners must contact the grantee directly to see if they meet the program eligibility requirements. A network of grantees throughout the state administers this program; view the grantee list to see if there is a grantee serving your area.  Homeowners will also apply through their local grantee. Please note that funding and organizational capacity is limited, and many grantees will have a waiting list for applicants. Households residing in areas not currently served are encouraged to contact a HUD-certified housing counseling agency to discuss their options beyond HRAP. Assistance is provided to homeowners in the form of a 5- or 3-year forgivable loan. Please note, total household income must be at or below 80 percent of the Area Median Income (AMI) to be eligible for the program.
