Briefly Describe the Purpose of the Program | ||
To provide properly specified bid and inspected paratransit vehicles to private non-profit and certified public agencies for use in transporting seniors and people with disabilities. | ||

Eligibility Requirements or Restrictions: Interested parties must participate in the regional Human Services Transportation Planning (HSTP) meetings. Accessible vehicles are available to public transit providers for general public transportation, and to non-profit organizations for the transportation of seniors and/or individuals with disabilities. | ||

The CVP Program uses Section 5310 funding for awards to non-profit organizations and Sections 5311 and 5339 for awards to public transportation providers. Public transportation providers are exempt from the Grant Accountability and Transparency Act (GATA) and notice of those CVP applications will be posted in the BlackCat portal those providers use for operating applications. Non-profit agencies are still covered by GATA and a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) outlining the application process and due date will be posted in the GATA portal (see above website) as funding and vehicles become available. | ||
