The annual conference brings together community and economic developers, elected officials, state and federal agency representatives, citizen leaders, and community-oriented individuals to learn from and strategize with one another about community and economic development; thus, making a difference in rural Illinois.

The Illinois Institute for Rural Affairs will host the 35th Annual Rural Community and Economic Development Conference in conjunction with the Governor’s Rural Affairs Council chaired by Lt. Governor Julianna Stratton  and Rural Partners on February 28 & 29, 2024 at the Abraham Lincoln Hotel, Springfield, Illinois.
